0021 - mytwooldestfriendsnotes: I don’t really have much of an interest of doing cooleyedoescoops of people, but this was taken at a rare moment when I was with my two oldest friends at the same time (my brother oliver who I’ve known since I was born, and Michael who I’ve known since I was 7). All of the pictures I’ve taken of people using this effect I’ve not been too keen on, but I quite like this photo.

0020 - treasureplanet1982notes: I’ve been doing some research with Phoebe on feature length animations. We’re trying to watch every one. It’ll likely take us years but it’s been really rewarding so far. We’ve had some directors send us their films, and when you unearth something that’s incredible and not really had much attention it’s really humbling to watch them. This Cooleyedoescoop is of one of the characters from the DVD copy of Planetata na sakrovishtata a 1982 Bulgarian Sci-Fi animation. I’ve not watched it yet as I’m waiting to see it with Phoebe and she’s been busy of recent. I’m super excited to see it though, the animation style really reminds me of Vince Collins and Sally Cruikshank.

notes: I love Chris Ware. He may be my favourite artist. ‘Lint’ is certainly my favourite comic. I dream of someone animating his work into a series. This is from a poster I have up in my room. Actually it’s the inside of a dust jacket for Jimmy Corrigan. It’s of a globe that’s centered in the picture. I really like how this looks. I think a lot of Ware’s art would look good with this effect.

0009 - detaledmirrornotes: There is a mirror in the bathroom at the flat I live in. It has a woman painted on it. Due to being a human and having to go for poos I end up looking at it a lot. There is a womans head on it and I’ll sometimes pretend I’m eating it when get up off the toilet. I’m not sure if to call it a mirror or a painting with a reflective background. I took this cooleyedoescoop when I was on the toilet.
